    Calling all first time attendees - join us for this orientation designed just for you! Find out everything you need to know to make the most of your Annual Conference experience and meet and network with other first time attendees.
  • Exhibit Hall Grand Opening (Thursday, October 16; 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.): FREE

    Join fellow conference participants to kick-off AAMFT14 with fun, prizes and complimentary refreshments as we officially open the exhibit hall. This year's hall features great publications, excellent resources and must-have products. Meet representatives from MFT programs and universities. And don't forget to stop by the AAMFT Learning Booth for information and tools to help you continue your education after AAMFT14!
  • AAMFT Showcase – A Spotlight on Divisions and COAMFTE Accredited Programs (Thursday, October, 16; 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.): FREE

    Meet with division leaders to discuss the latest news and information regarding your home state or province, and find out how you can get more involved.   • Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) Social Hour (Saturday, October 18; 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.): FREE

    This event will bring together Minority Fellowship Program (MFP) Fellows from across the country along with mentors, advisory committee members, and program directors. The MFP seeks to increase the level of culturally competent doctoral level marriage and family therapists who provide mental health and substance abuse services to undeserved and minority populations. Attendees interested in research, training and practice in these areas are welcome to join us. For more information on this event, please contact mfp@aamft.org.

  • Annual Business Meeting – A Conversation with AAMFT (Saturday, October 18; 4:30 p.m – 6:00 p.m.): FREE; AAMFT membership only

    As a result of positive feedback from the 2013 meeting, AAMFT will again be featuring our new format designed to create a vibrant and engaging environment for members to dialogue and interact with the Association's leadership. Learn about our 2013 accomplishments, financial benchmarks, and Board news as well as the exciting initiatives for 2014 and beyond. Freely ask questions and express concerns related to its business planning as we continue to focus on relevancy, innovation, and communication.     The research poster session is an opportunity to view and discuss the latest work in the marriage and family therapy field. Poster authors will be available to discuss their research and answer questions. Preview the poster session by stopping by the AAMFT Exhibit Hall at any point during the conference.
